Purchase Policy ​

Manage or Cancel Subscriptions ​

The Scrypted NVR subscription can be managed at the billing portal. This includes adding or removing licenses from an account, or cancelling the subscription.

Free Trial ​

Scrypted NVR's has a free trial that can be used to test drive the product. Set the subscription to cancel to avoid being billed when the trial ends. It is highly recommended to set up and verify the cameras in the free version of Scrypted prior to starting the Scrypted NVR trial.

Supported Server Configurations ​

The following server configurations are supported by Scrypted NVR:

Platforms ​

  • Docker or Proxmox (with supported CPU).
  • Apple Silicon running the Scrypted NVR Desktop app.
  • Windows running the Scrypted NVR Desktop app.

Hardware ​

  • Apple Silicon
  • Intel 9th generation or later CPUs and iGPU.
    • Note: the newest generation CPU may NOT have full support due to kernel/driver support not being available out of the box in Proxmox or Ubuntu. One generation AFTER the latest is generally recommended for stability.
  • AMD 5000 series or later CPUs. iGPU is not supported, and inference will be CPU only.
  • NVIDIA 30 series or later GPUs.

These are the most common configurations, are known to be reliable and performant. However, Scrypted NVR can run on much more than is listed here, but when running into issues support may be limited.

Supported Cameras ​

Only local RTSP Cameras are officially supported by Scrypted NVR. This is typically any camera that implements the ONVIF and RTSP protocol and uses the H.264 video codec.

Unsupported hardware (which may work to varying degrees) includes:

  • Cloud cameras like Ring, Google/Nest, and Arlo.
  • Non-native RTSP Cameras like Wyze.
  • Non manufacturer provided custom firmware like Thingino.
  • Battery powered cameras.

Subscriptions intended for unsupported hardware are not eligible for technical assistance or refunds.

Cancellation Policy ​

All sales are final and non-refundable. The free version and free trial are available to thoroughly test the product.

Scrypted NVR subscribers will be sent a payment reminder email one week prior to being billed to provide a lead time for cancellations. Cancelled subscriptions will end on the next renewal date; they will not be prorated. The subscription benefits will be available until the renewal date. The subscription will not be billed further.

Additional billing questions (such as lost email access) can be directed to billing@scrypted.app or raised in the Scrypted Discord to the server administrator.

Support ​

Support issues related to the Scrypted NVR product can be raised in the Discord, Reddit, or Github communities linked above.

Support issues unrelated to the Scrypted NVR product (HomeKit, Google Home, etc) are only eligible for community support. Support for subscribers is only for the Scrypted NVR product.
